Adventures of Britgirl-San. Fran.

Day 1

Booked a trip through Travelocity. Man, their last minute deals were pretty good. Was set to spend the holiday weekend in Dallas until I found this. Flights to San Fran were $300...this was flight and hotel for $400/ Of course...no knowing what the state of the hotel will be....... Got to S. F. airport with no drama and as taxis are not cheap took the Bart down town. Very easy to use now they link directly to the airport. ($5 whereas taxi woulda been $40) Wasn't too sure where to get off as we didn't know where hotel was so just headed to Market street and walked. Good job we only had a small backpack as hotel was quieter a walk....all down Market, Along Embarcardo, into fishermans wharf. Quick stop at the seals ...arhhhhhhhh. HOTEL. Sweet, its nice. A holiday Inn. They upgraded us from 'plebe' room to BUSINESS. Oh yeh.....Karl loved putting that card in the lift to get to the special floor of business rooms. "oh excuse me...I need to insert my card for the TOP FLOOR" Pretty nice room. No closets though. Is that a business class kinda thing?? No idea..maybe one of our fly friends can help with that..... Dropped off bags and dragged Karl back to the seals...arhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Friggin' BUSHMAN scared me to death...psycho street man who dresses in twigs, pretend to be a bush, jumps out scares you, laughs like a moron then wants money for the pleasure. yeh right.
The Scary Bushman !! Posted by Hello

Don't care how tacky fishermans wharf is I LOVE IT. Decieded to be rebels and hang out in the tourist area all evening. Ate great seafood, shopped at the tack and crap stores, and drank irish coffee's.

Day 2

Karl was nearly molested at breakfast.Guy there tool a liking to him !!! Wouldn't have been so bad but man that guys wasn't even cute. Lots and lots walking today. close to 7 miles I would guess along Embarcardo, golden gate bridge, through Presido, fort point where we broke down and caught a bus to Bakers beach. really pretty but no food or bar !! Onto Ocean beach and yeh...the 'beach Chalet'. The perfect rest stop. Microbrew pub and food, with a view of the sea. Laid out on Ocean beach afterwards. Coulda easily fallen aslepp but didn't through fears of a farmers tan !!! Walking more...though golden gate park til I get fed up of the trees. Back to the street and the long trek back to our hotel. Got dressed up and ready for a night on the town. Top Castro area for dinner. You know the area by all the rainbow flags. Its cool place..bars,clubs,food,coffee shops. Ate great seafood at CATCH. Got told off for being late for our reservation. Damn cable cars. clubbin' next at Ruby skye. Dj Christopher Lawrence spinning banging tune. Wish my poor legs didn't aches so much...I could hardly dance. Cool club though. By time we left R.Skye the trabsport had switched to night mode so we had no idea how to get back to hotel.Found a street pointing in right direction and just sat there til bus came by.

Day 3

Couldn't get out bed this morning...legs hurt like a mo fo. Hot shower helped so on with the day.... Hit China town looking for bargains but it was all same old crap..shop after shop. Dragged Karl round all the shops anyway. More walking through Castro and up the STEEPEST hills ever. Found a great park called Buena Vista. Really steep climb up to the top. Well worth it despite my bitchin' Top of park had a little oasis with dog walkers, yoga folk, hippies, lovers and bums were all gathered. Gorgeous views... Down other side to the hippy HAIGHT street. You can smell the insence a mile off. On Karls insistance another Micro brew (Magnolia brewpub) Was good though and the beer helped my legs feel better. Great little shops here. bussed it back into Market street and walked to union square but after all the character of Castro and Haight was bit bored. Had to do Lombard street of course. Think the designer had been smoking something in Haight before creating this crazy road. Gotta love it though Last night already....... Went into little Italy. Had a restaurant in mind but once I saw the name of one called "the stinking Rose" had to eat there. Can you say GAARRRRLLLIICCCCC No Vampires near me tonight Awesome area with pastry shops on every corner...good job we had done so much walking. FAT BASTARDS

Adventures of Britgirl-Sobe

Hen weekend in SOUTH BEACH.

Posted by Hello

It was a wicked Sobe weekend.
The beach, the sun, the food, the clubs....sleep and repeat.
It was hot hot hot.
Ran into the man himself Jay-ZZZZZZZ.
so...what happens in south beach stays in south beach ( Oh, and on my blog)

Night 1
hung in Coconut Grove at some student biker bar...Seriously !! Made me feel old. Hormonal Latino boys trying to hump your leg at every move. Too funny

Night2
Eventually we bid farewell to Coconut Grove and on to our hotel in Sobe.
After a whole afternoon chillin' like a Villin' on the beach its time to get primpin' in the rooms. Game on.....the Sobe 4 have some pre drinks and on to Clevelander, my old stomping ground. Its as tacky and dodgy as ever. Gotta love it.
On to meet the rest of the Sobe Posse at BED. 9 girls in bed together.
We were total fly girls hittin' Delano afterwards but, man, that place is so chill we almost fell asleep. Beautiful tho.

Night3
another day spent between the shops and the beach. Took drinks with us this time....nice life.
Pri was already drunk by noon.Poor girl. We got bit worried but she made a quick recovery at least !!
Some annoying guys gave us free passes and drinks coupon to their friends club...Amika.
Dinner that night at TOUCH and how cool. Lots of freebies, cocktails, shots, dessert.
Stayed there long enough to be tipsy and full.
on the town in SoBe Posted by Hello

Even the dancing on the bar didn't work off any callories.
On to the freebie AMIKA....not bad if ya like chart hiphop.Worth it for free drinkies.
Then the serious clubbing starts...........
SPACE CLUB
God I love that place...took us forever to get thereas there had been a wreck on the causeway but we made it and well worth the wait.
Music was banging with Oscar G in the main room and the girlies liked the roof deck playing Rigatone and full of Latin lovers.
Didn't want the night to end but as we got back to the hotel the sun was rising though I know Space was still going strong.
